Backwater was born in Lausanne, Switzerland, during the year 2012.
The band was founded by 3 ex-Sideburn members (Boris-Guitar, Fred Gudit-Guitar, Michel Demierre-Bass).
The band’s music is fueled by the influence of classic-rock and hard-rock acts such as AC/DC, ZZ Top, CCR and Rose Tattoo.
