Jhonnyboy , a charismatic band from Milan that is rapidly climbing the ladder of success in the Italian music scene.
Bubbly, extroverted and enthusiastic, they will draw the attention of the audience with their rockabilly, swing and rhythm and blues sounds. The exciting R’n’R and their incredible stage performances with their powerful double bass sounds and 50’s-style pieces with Hillbilly and Neo-Rockabilly influences will not leave anyone indifferent!
It was a mid summer night of 2007, Jhonnyboy was wondering around the usual bikers reunion, looking for a trashcan to go through .
That bastard grew up near Reno and was used to go looking for food all alone, because the color of his hair wasn’t much appreciated by the restaurants’ owners.
He was starving for rock and roll and was looking for another beast like him to go wander around the city.
He quickly realized that it wouldn’t be an easy challenge. But one night he met the shabby Bluescat, an old friend from the club times.
He asked him if he knew a long nailed guitarist to put up for him and he suggested his old right arm.
He at once understood that that ugly cat, Bamboo Boogiecat, was feeling as down as his guitar string and that he usually wandered around with another guitar veteran from the warm south: Fabulos Fabio.
They were blues strays, grown up in the Tennesse taverns, and used to play in front of a very small private public.
Their success’ were as many as the fish bones they had received, but their ambitions were many, that’s why he called him and fixed an audition.
After hoping and hoping we finally found a white kitty, who had been given in adoption by another stray family from San Anton.
Even though he seemed a gentle kitty, we quickly understood that his little nails were sharp enough and that his contrabass was part of him.
Von Dee was grown up in a wealthy suburb near Montgomery, Alabama, but his dear family abandoned him before moving to Jersey.
His nail were long cause nobody had taken care of him and he went back to his origin, before the trashcan and then rock and roll. Last but not least, a worrying looking, long haired cat, that came from out of the suburbs.
One day he went to visit the Ice Cream, directly in the neighborhood where we used to meet for rehearsals.
Our eyes met and we suddenly understood that we would have a future together.
Slim Jim Bocciacat, so called by his friends from Jackson, came to town to make his career turn and so he enrolled himself with the Drumcat, looking for a better future than jail!
So these sons of a stray started to play around town and for the moment they keep being proud of their origins, hoping, one day, to meet a sweet aristocrat and settle in a nice flower bed in California, but for the moment go go cats go!!!!
