The whole project RG Band started back in 2003 with a simple idea: playing a different style of Blues influenced music taking a step away from the imitation of this or that Blues hero, rather pouring personal musicality into the music.
This idea, added to Riccardo’s willing of exporting the band’s music abroad instead of being a pick up band for some American touring artist, completed what RG Band has become today.
Riccardo Grosso and the RG Band are working hard to fill that gap existing between the music from 50’s to 70’s, the one with balls due to the great musicians of that time approach (putting themselves into what they were playing, instead of trying to sound like somebody else), and contemporary catchy sounds – the ones modern listeners feel related to, the ones new generation of people and music lovers are demanding.
